Why is Mindvalley.com Winning the Mind Games?

About

We spend the prime years of our lives preparing for our careers. But we spend hardly any time preparing for things that will determine the quality of our life experience and the quality of our relationships, health, mindset and wellbeing. Mindvalley teaches you the things that matter most in life.

This is what Mindvalley.com’s about us page states in its ‘about us’ page. The platform has more than 12 million students from around 80 countries and is ever-growing (the latest country being India).

Where they are winning

Content is king. Anyone in the space of OTT, or just content creation would have read that a million times. That’s what Mindvalley.com seems to have built its entire offering on.

While there are many edtech companies (that are also doing well), the differentiator for Mindvalley is that it puts together content for anyone in the world. And by anyone, we mean anyone. It steps away from traditional education and wants its users to thrive in this new world. They use AI and new technologies to create a global network for you by aiming to connect their users with the right people, build connections and promise transformation to build the user’s best life.

The road begins with a 20-odd minute assessment that tells the user where he/she is doing well and where focus is needed. Further, what’s a game changer, is the networking it allows users. Fellow users can use it as a social network and start discussions with peers or even learn together.

We’ve also previously mentioned how users should be given flexible subscription options. Mindvalley does just that with monthly and yearly plans, with the latter being more cost-effective, which is marketed as less than a US$ day.

Building on the content bit, Mindvalley.com offers courses from big names that otherwise aren’t accessible to customers. Think mind, body, soul, entrepreneurship, career, relationships – an average individual requires help for at least one (if not all) of these. That’s what Mindvalley.com offers.

And then comes the easy-to-use interface. The app is as simple as it gets, allowing the user to navigate freely and easily.

Next growth areas

Yes, they do offer a 15-day free trial, but that works as a refund more than a trial. If you see other OTT networks, especially in the entertainment space, the fee is charged only after the trial period is over. This is something that could create doubt in the user’s mind.

Yes, it’s Mindvalley’s business call and it may be working extremely well for them, but according to us it always works better if the user isn’t forced to pay before the trial is taken. They can trust their content and expect a user to convert the free trial into a paid subscription.

In summary

Health and wellness are in the limelight more so during the pandemic. And with people inculcating the habit of working from home/learning from home, we believe that online education is going to grow further. If you believe you’ve got the content to give Mindvalley.com a run for its money, or any other content but don’t have the tech know-how to convert that into a platform, we at Enveu are here to help. Set up a discussion with the team and we’ll make sure you will be earning the dollars (and plenty of them) extremely soon!
