RTL is easy to claim. It is hard to ship on a television.

MENA is one of the fastest-growing streaming markets, with real demand for Arabic-language drama, sport, and faith and family programming. But the thing that decides whether a platform feels native to that audience is not the catalogue — it is whether the product reads right.

Every OTT vendor will tell you they support Arabic and right-to-left. Most of them mean the website and the phone app. Ask about the television and the answer gets vague, because a TV app in RTL is a different problem: the entire layout mirrors, remote and D-pad focus has to travel right-to-left, Arabic shaping and ligatures have to survive at ten feet, and mixed Arabic-Latin strings — episode titles, timecodes, match scores — have to not fall apart mid-line. It is the part nobody demos.

Enveu ships RTL across web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS). Not Roku — Roku has no right-to-left support at platform level, so no vendor can give you that one, and we would rather say so here than in your third meeting.

We have done this. A Middle East broadcaster launched an Arabic-first OTT platform on Enveu in six weeks — keeping its existing video backend intact — and Tesliya, a UAE platform for Gen-Z audiences, runs on the same stack. Both are on Experience Cloud, with Enveu Flow automating the live-to-VOD and clipping behind them.

Features

Built for an Arabic-first audience

Right-to-left on every screen — including TV

Mirrored layouts, right-to-left remote and D-pad focus, Arabic shaping that holds at 10-foot viewing distance, and mixed Arabic-Latin strings that do not break. Ships on web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS). Roku is the exception — its platform has no RTL support.

An Arabic catalogue, not an Arabic skin

Arabic metadata, titles, descriptions, search and subtitles across the whole catalogue — so discovery works in Arabic, not just the buttons around it.

The media work runs itself

Enveu Flow turns a finished live stream into a replay, cuts the highlights and publishes them automatically — which is what a Ramadan schedule or a full fixture list actually demands. No editor sitting up after every match.

Bring your own payment provider

Enveu integrates the PSP and gateway you already use rather than locking you into ours, so the subscriber and billing relationship stays yours. Carrier billing is supported and proven — a Tier-1 African mobile operator bills its OTT subscribers through it.

Manage with ease

Run a multi-market service from one place

One platform, several markets

Language, catalogue, pricing and currency vary per market from a single CMS — a Gulf rollout and a North Africa rollout do not need two platforms.

Rights and availability windows

Geo-restriction and per-market licensing windows are configuration, not an engineering ticket — which matters when regional sports rights rarely cover the whole map.

Peak events without a war room

Ramadan schedules, derbies and finals are when a platform gets judged. Delivery scales on multi-CDN, and live-to-VOD turns the event into catalogue automatically.

I wanted to create a platform that can accommodate more producers to publish and monetise their content easily; we take only a small cut, and they retain their rights.

FAQ

Questions about launching in MENA

Do you support Arabic and right-to-left layouts?
Yes — and on television, not just web and mobile. RTL ships on web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS): mirrored layouts, right-to-left remote and D-pad focus, Arabic shaping at 10-foot distance, and mixed Arabic-Latin strings that hold. Arabic metadata, search and subtitles are built in across the catalogue.
Is the Enveu admin available in Arabic?
No — the CMS admin is in English. Your catalogue, metadata, search and subtitles are fully Arabic and your viewers get an Arabic, right-to-left experience end to end; the back-office your team logs into is not localised. We would rather tell you that now than have you find it in the demo.
Does RTL work on Roku?
No — and no vendor can offer it. Roku has no right-to-left support at platform level, so an Arabic RTL interface cannot be built there by anyone. Every other major platform is covered: web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS). If a vendor tells you they do RTL on Roku, ask to see it on a device.
Which payment methods can I use in MENA?
Enveu integrates with the payment provider you choose rather than forcing you onto ours — you bring your PSP or gateway, and the subscriber and billing relationship stays yours. We do not ship pre-built integrations to specific local MENA rails, so your PSP choice drives which methods your viewers see. Carrier billing is supported and is in production with a Tier-1 African mobile operator.
Can I run several MENA markets from one platform?
Yes. Language, catalogue, pricing, currency and licensing windows are configured per market from a single CMS. A Gulf launch and a North Africa launch share one platform rather than needing two.
How long does a MENA launch take?
Typically 4–6 weeks. A Middle East broadcaster went live on Enveu in six weeks with an Arabic-first platform, helped considerably by not having to replace its existing video backend.
Do I have to replace my current video stack?
No. Enveu integrates with your existing streaming provider, DRM, CDN and analytics. You can adopt the experience and application layer first and migrate the rest later, or never — which is exactly what the Middle East broadcaster above did.
Does Enveu generate Arabic subtitles or dubbing automatically?
No. Arabic subtitle tracks are fully supported — ingested, delivered and displayed across every app — but Enveu does not machine-generate Arabic subtitles or dubbed audio. What Enveu Flow does automate is the media work around them: turning a finished live stream into a replay, cutting highlights, and publishing them without anyone in the loop.
Does Enveu take a cut of my subscription revenue?
No. Enveu charges a predictable platform licence and takes 0% of your subscription, advertising or transaction revenue — in MENA and everywhere else.
