A DRM video encryption platform encrypts your video and issues per-device licences so only authorised viewers can play it. DRM (digital rights management) encrypts your video at packaging and issues a decryption licence to each device individually. Without a valid licence, the file is useless — which is what studios and rights-holders require before they will license premium content to you.
